www.theoutstation.com.au | The Outstation, north of Quirindi is a self catering, 3 bedroom cottage on an 8,700 acre cattle station 400kms from Sydney. Spectacular scenery and wildlife, swimming pool, tennis or join a farm tour. Chill out or walk out!
Formely an outstation cottage it was moved in the 1950's and is now part of "Gananny" homestead complex. Your hosts, the Simson family have been here since 1887. "Gananny" runs Merino sheep & Hereford cattle. Working in harmony with nature is a priority. The property is covered with native pastures, trees & shrubs with wildlife here in abundance.
Activities Bushwalking, bird & wildlife watching, swimming - 10m pool, tennis, farm tour or sit back, wind down & relax.
You can also visit any of the many attractions within the area including museums, lookouts, national parks, lakes & dams, heritage village, memorial gardens and much more. Simply view the "attractions" on the home page.
Facilities Fully equiped kitchen, gas & microwave oven, T.V & DVD palyer, bathroom with claw foot bath, second bathroom/laundry with shower, spacious living/dining area, open fire. All linen, towels and bedding supplied.
Disabled facilities Not very wheelchair friendly sorry. Please phone for more details.

Accommodation type Farmstay, 3 bedrooms - 1 queen, 4 single beds. Lots of open space for the kids to play.
Room facilities Bed only in bedrooms, dressing table in main bedroom.
Accommodation configuration Main bedroom with queen bed, two bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. Open plan spacious kitchen, living & dining room. 2 bathrooms, 1 toilet, 1 laundry, 2 verandahs.
Rates per night Adults (17+) $75/night for single person, $50/person/night if 2 or more adults. Children $20/person/night.
