Local Government Week

Local Government Week (LG Week) promotes the importance of Local Government to NSW communities.Councils across the state hold a range of special events during this week, inviting the public to find out how they can benefit from the variety of council programs, services and activities. This year’s theme is “Our Council, our Community“.

Shire activities include a BBQ on Friday, 5th August from 11am to 2pm in front of the Council Administration Building. Please come along, meet the Councillors and Council staff and find out about Council Services.

LPSC is also running a Photographic Competition called Postcards of the Shire and is looking for entries that capture and celebrate the beauty of the Liverpool Plains. The closing date for this is August 8 and it will be judged and awarded in the following week.

The major prize will be a $100 shop local voucher and there will also be $50 vouchers for best adult and best junior photo. Entries must represent the Liverpool Plains local government area and can depict the built and natural environment, iconic sites, local life, places and activity.
