During National Youth Week, a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments, we celebrate our young people aged 12-25 throughout Australia. It gives our young people an opportunity to express their ideas and views and act on issues that affect their lives through a variety of competitions, events and activities.
The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is running a Youth Week Photography Competition for the age groups 12-15 years; 16-18 years; 19-25years. The First Prize is $100; 2nd Prize $50. Categories: Action Shot; Smile; Travel; Nature and Wildlife. Entries close on Monday 8th April and entry is free. Entry forms are available at the Council Office or the Liverpool Plains Visitor Information Centre in Willow Tree. For more information call 6746 1755.

The campaign this year is Be Care Aware and encourages people to get to know more about unpaid family carers, who they are, what they do and how they can be supported.

They provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or are frail aged.
